Hi, folks:
        The chinese students who have the F2 problem in UD just had
a meeting with the director of ISSS. She provides some valuble imformation
of the visa situation around China. Actually the senator in DE just hold a
tele conference including the director of the state department, the
general director of Beijing emabssy and other general consuls around
china. Here is some result of the conference:
        1 The denial of visa in Beijing is a problem of finance, the
illegal workers in US and immigration intent of Chinese. Based on the
information provided by the embassy to the senator and the
statedepartment, the false bankstatement, the illegal workers of F2 and F1
and other immigration of Chinese is the main reason of the denial. They
just want to keep the spouse in china as a hostage in fact.
        2 The officer of the state department will go to China to meet
with the director of consulates in China from Wesday to Friday next week,
to discuss the situation and will try to give a uniform policy of F2/J2
visa. They will also find the reason of the situation differnece between
Beijng and Shanghai.
        That's the news I just got half hour ago.
        I would say our effort does work. Without pushing ISSS, the state
department will never know this.It is the first step we want" find out the
true reason of denial". To write letters personally will be
useless because no one will care! ISSS is a office who work for us
. though they don't have any power, they can reflect your case to
those who has power by offical access.
        While waiting for their meeting result next week, don't forget to
move on, report your case to IFCSS ASAP. We still need some more cases.
