秘书怎么会知道你在信里骂教授呢？I think professors will receive
your paper letter , because it is secretary's responsiblity to let
the professor get the mail to him, even if it is a junk. Because it is
a privacy issue . They do  not dare to cut your mail to the professor.
Actually, In my department , every professor and TA has a slot as mail box,
they just put the letters there, it is all up to the professor if he wants
to reply or not. For email, I believe it is less impressive than
paper letter, it is true that you send a lot of message here by email,
but it is still not that formal. You still have to fax or send your
resume if you want to find a job, not just send an email.
