Dear Sirs:

您一定已经知道，就在几个小时前北约在中国驻南大使馆投下了三枚炸弹，已经造成
三人死亡（包括一名女记者）和二十余人受伤，在国际上和中国引起极大的关注和愤慨。
三枚激光制导炸弹同时直接击中目标，这完全是蓄意的挑衅行为！这对于一直标榜着民
主、自由和人权的美国来说，是一个极大的耻辱！美国的行为已经趋于疯狂！

尤其令人气愤和感到可耻的是，在当晚的MSNBC新闻节目里，主持人Brian Williams在
谈到这一美国应该为此负责的悲剧事件时，竟然用一种取笑的口吻说：“Oops, sorry,
we didn't mean to hit you.”这一行为在众多中国留学生中造成极大的反响，所有人
都被激怒了！我们强烈要求MSNBC接受以下两条：1) Brian Williams必须对此给予正式
的郑重道歉；2) MSNBC必须保证以后不再发生这种伤害中国人感情的事情。

这也是美国媒体的耻辱。自从空袭发生以来，美国的媒体就在片面的渲染塞族对阿族的
屠杀并称之为“种族清洗”，但是对于NATO和美国政府所犯下的罪刑却仅仅一带而过。
难道轰炸和屠杀无辜的平民不是一种可耻的罪行吗？难道轰炸其他国家的大使馆不是一
种可耻的罪行吗？难道对这种灾难报以取笑和嘲弄不应该感到可耻吗？难道美国的新闻
媒体已经沦为为战争服务的宣传机器，失去了一切诚实和公正了吗？如果这里还有一
点点公正存在的话，请谴责北约的罪行，谴责MSNBC对此事的反应！

这世上所有人的生命都值得珍惜，而不仅仅是美国人的！停止所有的谎言和暴行！

Dear Sirs:
As you know, three NATO & US missiles struck the Chinese embassy in Belgrade
on May 8.  Up to now, we have learned that four people in the embassy were
killed, including a female journalist and over twenty people were injured
in this tragic incident.  This incident has caused deep concern and anger
in China as well as in the whole world.  Three missiles guided by laser
hit the embassy building directly at the same time.  This is a planned
barbarian act.  It is such a shame to the US who is so proud of its democracy,
freedom and emphasis on HUMAN RIGHTS!  NATO & US are close to out of control.

What makes us feel angry and ashamed of is how Mr. Brian Williams referred
to this tragic incident in that night's MSNBC news program.  During his
live broadcast, he said in such a joking manner: "OOPS, SORRY, WE DIDNT
MEAN TO HIT YOU".  His comments deeply hurt the feelings of all the
Chinese students who are currently studying in the US and the
Chinese-American community.  Everyone is deeply insulted by him.

We strongly request the following:
1) Mr. Williams has to make a formal apology for his irresponsible comments.
2) MSNBC has to promise not to tolerate such incident to happen again on your
   news programs.

It is also a shame to all the US media.  Since the starting of the air war,
the US media has single sided condemned the ethnic cleansing by the Serbs,
but never apply the same rules and standards to what NATO & US has done
to the innocent civilians.  Isn't bombing other country's embassy a clear
violation of the international law and a criminal act which you should
feel ashamed of?  Isn't it sick to make jokes on this tragic incident on
a national evening news program?  Has the US media been changed to a biased
propaganda machine and lost all the honesty and justice?  If you still have
a bit of conscience, please condemn NATO for what they have done.  Please
condemn MSNBC for the way they reported the incident in their evening
news program.

All lives should be cherished, not only those of the Americans'.  Stop all the
lies and killings!
