I recommend seeing American films to improve listening capability as well as oral expression. I like the movies as follows:
1. A Few Good Men (Tom Cruise and Demi Moore, the best one I would say, many good conversation and argument at court)
2. Sleepless in Seattle
3. Something to Talk
4. Primal Fear
5. Rain Man
6. Cramer vs. Cramer
7. Crazy in Love
8. American President
9. Final Analysis
10. Dumb and Dumber
11. White Palace
12. Last Dance
13. Dead Man Walking
14. Firm

There are many good movies suitable for listening and spoken capability improvement. If you really want to sharpen your ear, you had better choose according to the principals (based on my experience)
1.  Choose the story happening inside US, which means native speakers in the movie.
2.  The forensic (law, court argument) type is the best, and the life style is good. Do not choose the type just fighting.
You had better record the sound track onto the cassette tape to play tens of times on your walkman.
