The School of Pharmacy, founded in 1875 -- the first in the West -- turns
out 120 new doctors of pharmacy each year. US News and World Report rated

The aim of the Graduate Program is to set standards for excellence in

The School of Pharmacy is characterized by a vigorous research environment.
The pharmaceutical sciences are central to the development of new drugs and
the improved treatment of disease. The pharmaceutical sciences graduate
training program is four-to-five years in length. Core and elective courses
usually are completed during the first two years. The remainder of the

The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry offers M.S. and Ph.D. degree
programs in pharmaceutical chemistry under the jurisdiction of the Graduate
School of the University of Kansas. Students entering the programs are
expected to have bachelor's or master's degrees in pharmacy, chemistry,
chemical engineering, biology, or related areas. M.S. degree requirements
may be met either by satisfactorily completing the course work required for
the Ph.D. degree and passing a comprehensive examination or by
satisfactorily completing 30 credit hours of course work and research,
presenting a thesis or research report based on original research, and
passing an oral examination.

The Pharmaceutical Sciences Graduate Program (PSGP) provides graduate
instruction and training in pharmacokinetics, biopharmaceutics, drug
delivery, cancer research, chemical carcinogenesis, medicinal chemistry,

The graduate program in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences provides
instruction and research training in diverse aspects of drugs including
