 ditor's Note: In the 1998 edition of America's Best Graduate Schools, the U.S. 
News law-school rankings incorrectly rank Duke Law School because of a failure 
by U.S. News and Duke to catch a mistake in information about the number of the 
law school's 1997 graduates employed at the time of graduation. When Duke  
brought this mistake to U.S. News's attention, the magazine recalculated its  
rankings and the corrected version appears on the U.S. News Web site, in the  
March 2, 1998 issue of the magazine, and in reprints of the rankings. This  
change moved nine other schools by one place in overall rankings, and 
moved 11 other schools down by one place in ranking job-placement success.
