今天终于签证成功，第一件事就是想把自己的经验和体会告诉大家。

我的方向是 computer vision，pattern recognition Image Processing.
到 US 学 ECE, 方向相同。本来想就本人的毕业论文
(human face recognition) 大吹一通。但考虑到所提的词语个个为敏感。于是
我将以上词语通通从 25 问答中删去，全部换以 human-computer interaction
，于是我的方向没有一点敏感可言了。

我的签证官是美国中年人，和蔼。

He: So you will go to ***** University.
Me: Yes.
He: You get a scholarship.
Me: Yes, research assistantship.
He: You will study Electrical Engineering, so what is your special area?
Me: human-computer interaction.
He: Does this *******(没听清) pattern recognition****?
Me: No. For example, this technique is to make the computer more friendly
    to human beings. We are trying to design automatic computer login
    system. Traditionally, when a user want to use a computer, he must enter
    his password. but now, he will do nothing. The computer will identify
    him and let him use the computer. It is very convenient.
He: I See, What's you plan after graduation.
Me: Go back to China to find a job.
He: How much will you earn.
Me: 20000 pounds, no, yuan per month. (有点晕)
He: Ok, good luck (递黄条)
Me: Thank you very much.

经验总结：

1. 对于敏感专业，可以换个类似的词，对于用途，可以全部往民用上提。我想搞 speech
processing 的也可以用 human-computer interaction 来换。搞 Signal Processing 的
可以改为： parameter estimation or prediction, optimal filtering 等等，搞 image
processing 的就往 medical 上引。总之，鬼子对专业几乎不懂，换换汤就能把他唬住。

2. of156 的中文版上的学校名，也用中文填。贴照片，不用剪小。

现在 F1 都很好签，大家不必担心。
