标  题: 建筑系自费--拒签--经验和教训

昨天下午2：30左右被拒，直到现在才发文章。实在是需要一段时间
来调整心情，希望下一次再发一篇"二签通过"的文章。I will and 希
望这篇文章可以帮助most boys and girls of Architecture to get their visa in
the first time!

背景：清华建筑学院本科毕业
      去UC at Berkeley 读Master of Architecture Program
时间：2：30pm, 28, JUN,1999
签证官：40岁的美国叔叔
       （这天的心情好象不太好，经过近10分钟的"机智问答"，拒掉
了我前面的办探亲的MM，美国叔叔休息了十分钟之后，开始叫号。剩下
的三个都是F1。还有一位是半奖读计算机的MM也被拒掉，另一个MM
我不知道是什么情况，随我之后很快就出来了，没好意思问她。）
Interview 的时间：大约有5-6分钟
前几个问题是School, Major and why do you want to study in the USA. 都是
经典问题，我答的也比较顺利。BUT,
美国叔叔：Your family will support your study, then what is the total saving of
your family?
ME: ***RMB.
美国叔叔：Besides the bank statement, do you have other supporting materials
to give it the confirmation?
ME: Well, I am now only with the bank statement....(interrupted)
美国叔叔：What are your parents?
ME: My father is a ***in ***, my mother is a ***in ***...(interrupted again)
美国叔叔：But I don't think they could have such amount, and I need more
documents to support.
在护照的最后一页盖章。

Well, that is it. 说实话，我曾经想过这个问题，可是还是存在侥幸的心理。
（当然，也许碰上其他的签证官会过的，I am unlucky this time.) 但是事实
之后，我的确觉的自己的准备还是不充分，而整个签证过程还是很
reasonable的。

经验和教训：（only for self-support, especially for most friends of Architecture.)
Only the bank statement might be weak, you need more documents to support what
you will say to the visa officer. For example:
"I could pay it"--show bank statement;
"I could earn more than ***RMB per month/year"----show documents;
"The expense I pay for my education in University of *** is only part of my
saving"--show documents.
and so on.

After the failure this time, I will find my way to make it up and hope to bring
good news next time. 还有两件事要说：
1． Although failed this time, I still tried to find confidence for next time. 因为
在整个过程之中，我得到了很多关心和帮助，直到从大使馆出来，直到回
到近午夜的清华，依然有好朋友在身边。我真的很感激大家！

me feel much better and keep smiling!

word, I will keep your care and kindness in mind, AND, I will try my next time.

2. Boys and girls of Architecture, don't feel very nervous because of my failure!
And harbin1, don't be so nervous and just make a better preparation with your
own story and confidence! Everyone has different story and different luck. But
I suggest you try when you have had substantial document to support your
confidence and your words to the visa officer. Be sure to make your documents
completed and reasonable enough. Hope I will be good luck next time, and hope
you will have good luck in your first time.
Make sure, good luck depends on very careful preparation and our confidence!

I don't mean to bring you the hard atmosphere. Please do not !!!
