一。本人情况：博二退学，全奖PH.D.

二。悲剧过程：
6。25， 10：40am  Window 8(HG鬼子）M:besunny; H: HG鬼子
M: "Good morning, sir. Here are my documents."//hand in offer&admission letter
G&T, transcripts. (diploma&degrees 太大了，塞不进去）
H: 看了我一眼. no words//这个家伙特没礼貌，我二签时跟他说"Good afternoon"
丫又没理我。
H: "what do you study in US?"
M: "I will pursue my Ph.D. degree in *** Engineering at ***. I 'll focus my
study on ***."
H: "What are you doing now?"
M:(nervous 'cause I am afraid he 'll ask why I drop my current Ph.D. program,
so I choose a vague answer)"I am a graduate student in **Department of ** Univ"
H: ask again"what r u doing now?
M: just repeated last answer.
H: "why do you choose this univ.?"
M: Because this univ. has high reputation in **Engr. It has excellent faculties
& advanced research facilities. I believe this can help to achive my academic
goal."
H: "How long will you stay in the US?"
M: "4 years."
To my surprise, he asked again"how long will u stay in US"
M:(nervous) "4 years...or maybe 5 years"
H: pointing at my transcripts(BS&MS sealed in one envelope) "What's this"
M: "That is my transcripts."
H: tore it open with his ballpen fiercely. After looking at the transcripts
for about 5 seconds, "What do you plan to do after study?"
M: "I 'll come back to find a decent job in a big company like GM, Volkswagon.
Especially car manufacturing companies"
H: shaking his dog head, "sorry, I can't give you visa..."
M: dazzling&almost faint!"Can you give me the reason for you to refuse me?"
H: pointing at 214b" that is the reason"
M: 仍不死心。"Can u give me a more specific reason?"
H: pointing at 214b "that is the specific reason"
每办法，只好悲愤交加地走出米国大屎馆。

三。失败分析
1）由于是退学，心理一直就怕他问。结果鬼子上来就问我，先在心理上输了一阵。
说自己是graduate student以为能蒙混过关，那料韩国鬼子嗅觉灵敏，再次发难。
虽硬撑着repeat了一遍，但心跳以至少加速20%。
2）鬼子问我呆多长时间，我毫不犹豫答了四年（其实我的admission letter上写了
四年，但I-20上“normal length of study"是5年）。当时鬼子正在就我的I-20
发问。My answer gave him another chance to 发难。

四。经验教训
1）退学读同等学历的同志们，如果你象我一样没本事把护照上的身份改成engineer的话，
一定要找一个过硬的退学理由。如果签证官没问你现在干什么, then you r lucky.
单一定要做好被他问的准备。其实每个人都可以找到自己的solid&specific reason
只不过你可能没意识到罢了。比如：I have no research funding and can't further
my research. But my current advisor Dr. ***, a Ph.D. from MIT, supports me.
He wants me to have better research facilities, he wants me to make my
academic achievements faster. 其实这个理由对我完全适用（除了我的导师不是MIT的）
可在我被拘牵之前就是没想出来。原因就是：总觉的退学就容易被锯，越想越怕。
越怕就越不敢面对这个问题。结果签证前的退学理由自己都觉得太管样化了。试想
自己都觉的不convincing的理由怎么能够拿去说服别人？
2）对你的每一个回答，最好都能想出一个convincing fact. 比如他问我呆几年，我完
全可以说4年，because I have got my master degree, so I can finish my Ph.D.
degree faster than the normal length. 可我事先也没想过这个问题，而且我至今
也没想明白我怎么就顺嘴说了4年那？
3）只有你所说的都是事实, 你才会自信。而如果你对你的每一个回答都能找到
一个convincing example,你会更加自信。充分的准备是第一位的。luck是第二位的。
4）学生签证的中心问题是你的specialty&future plan. Specialty一定要具体。
for example, you may say"I do research on robot control. It can enable the
robot to touch you like your sweet heart":). future plan 也是一样。you may
say:"My research is greatly related to car manufacturing industry. I 'll
come back and find my position in Volkswagon in Shanghai(because volk is
the biggest car manufacturing company in China)

五。虽然网上有同志说”没有拘牵经历的人生是不完整的人生，但我还是希望没有
去签的兄弟姐妹均能一签过关。被锯的感觉很不爽。真的，很不爽。
